  • پاکستان نے اقوام متحدہ سے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ موسمیاتی تبدیلی سے نمٹنے کے لیے فوری اجتماعی اقدامات کیے جائیں اور کمزور ملکوں کے لیے لاس اینڈ ڈیمیج فنڈ کو مکمل طور پر فعال کیا جائے۔ جنرل اسمبلی کی کمیٹی میں پاکستان کے مندوب سعد احمد نے کہا کہ موسمیاتی بحران کے متاثرین کو اس کی قیمت نہیں اٹھانی چاہیے جس میں ان کا حصہ نہ ہونے کے برابر ہے۔ انہوں نے 2025 کے سیلاب کا ذکر کیا جس سے تقریباً 69 لاکھ افراد متاثر ہوئے، 1000 سے زیادہ ہلاک اور 40 لاکھ سے زیادہ بے گھر ہوئے، اور کہا کہ موسمیاتی مالیات گرانٹس کی صورت میں ہونی چاہیے، نئے قرضوں کی صورت میں نہیں۔ پاکستان نے کہا کہ وہ ماحولیاتی نظام کی بحالی، پانی کی لچک اور قدرتی حل میں سرمایہ کاری کر رہا ہے۔
