Thirty-four percent of the new funding will be managed by Direct Access Entities in developing countries, and five projects are the first single-country projects for their countries — Algeria, Cameroon, Moldova and Yemen. Executive Director Mafalda Duarte was also reappointed for a second four-year term, ahead of the COP31 climate talks in Turkey in early November.
