  • Twenty-one-year-old Arafat Minhas has announced himself as Pakistan's new all-round star after a match-winning display in the ODI tri-series final against Sri Lanka in Lahore.
  • With Pakistan five wickets down and needing 125 runs off 79 balls, Minhas smashed 61 off just 31 balls, including five sixes, alongside Hasan Nawaz to clinch the trophy and the player-of-the-series award.
  • He finished the series with nine wickets and 149 runs, including two half-centuries.

Earlier in the series, against England in Rawalpindi, he scored 59 off 58 balls and took six wickets for 40 runs, becoming only the third Pakistani after Shahid Afridi and Abdul Razzaq to score a fifty and take five wickets in the same ODI. On his ODI debut against Australia in May, he took five wickets for 32 runs, the first Pakistani to take a five-wicket haul on debut.
