  • ایرانی حکام کے حوالے سے ایک رپورٹ کے مطابق ایران اسرائیل کے انتخابات میں خلل ڈالنے کی کوشش کے بعد 3 نومبر کو امریکہ کے وسط مدتی انتخابات میں مداخلت کی تیاری کر رہا تھا۔ حکام نے کہا کہ تہران نے دونوں ملکوں کے انتخابی عمل کے اندر لوگوں کو بھرتی کرنے کے طریقے تلاش کیے تھے اور انتخابی نظام کو نشانہ بنانے کے لیے سائبر گروپ بنائے تھے۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ مقصد کسی امیدوار کی حمایت نہیں بلکہ دونوں ملکوں میں تقسیم کو گہرا کرنا اور ایران کے خلاف مزید فوجی کارروائی کی ان کی صلاحیت کو محدود کرنا تھا۔ ان دعووں کی آزادانہ تصدیق نہیں ہوئی ہے، اور نتائج میں کامیاب ہیرا پھیری کا کوئی ثبوت پیش نہیں کیا گیا۔
