Zelenskyy said the decision came in a phone call on 28 October with British Prime Minister Andy Burnham. The package includes 7 billion pounds in economic support over the next three years and 3 billion pounds in British export support, mainly for the supply of much-needed weapons, on top of the annual support Britain already provides. Zelenskyy called the step very timely and said it should show Russia that Ukraine will not be left alone. The two leaders also discussed sanctions against Russia, with Zelenskyy saying Britain remains firm on them.
