  • American tennis star Ben Shelton has added Juan Carlos Ferrero, the former world No.
  • 1 who guided Carlos Alcaraz to his first six Grand Slam titles, to his coaching team for the 2027 season.
  • Shelton, 24 and ranked fourth in the world, called it a huge addition and said he was excited to start work in the off-season.

American tennis star Ben Shelton has added Juan Carlos Ferrero, the former world No. 1 who guided Carlos Alcaraz to his first six Grand Slam titles, to his coaching team for the 2027 season. Shelton, 24 and ranked fourth in the world, called it a huge addition and said he was excited to start work in the off-season. Ferrero will work alongside Shelton's father and longtime coach, Bryan Shelton, not replace him. The move follows a career-best season for Shelton, with four titles and a first Grand Slam final at the US Open, where he lost to Alexander Zverev.
