  • عالمی بینک کی نئی رپورٹ کے مطابق انگولا کا دارالحکومت لوانڈا 2050 تک نائیجیریا کے لاگوس کو پیچھے چھوڑ کر سب صحارا افریقہ کا سب سے بڑا شہر بن جائے گا۔ لوانڈا کی آبادی 2025 میں 11.4 ملین سے 78 فیصد بڑھ کر 20.3 ملین ہو جائے گی، جبکہ لاگوس کی آبادی 12.8 ملین سے بڑھ کر 16.2 ملین ہوگی اور وہ دوسرے نمبر پر آ جائے گا۔ جوہانسبرگ پانچویں سے آٹھویں نمبر پر آ جائے گا۔ رپورٹ کے مطابق خطے میں 2050 تک 748 ملین شہری باشندے بڑھیں گے اور شہری آبادی تقریباً 1.7 ارب ہو جائے گی۔
