  • مغربی افریقہ کے ایکواس بلاک اور الائنس آف ساحل اسٹیٹس نے ساحل ممالک کے ایکواس چھوڑنے کے بعد پہلی سفارتی اور وزارتی ملاقات کی ہے، جس سے مستقبل کے تعاون کی بنیاد رکھی گئی ہے۔ نائیجیریا، سینیگال، لائبیریا، برکینا فاسو، مالی اور نائجر کے عہدیداروں نے 17 اکتوبر کو سینیگال کے شہر ڈاکار میں ملاقات کی اور اتفاق کیا کہ مستقبل کے تعلقات اچھی ہمسائیگی، خودمختاری کے احترام اور مغربی افریقہ کے عوام کی بہبود پر مبنی ہوں گے۔ دونوں فریق تعاون کے معاہدے کا مسودہ تیار کرنے کے لیے ورکنگ گروپ بنائیں گے، جو بعد میں وزرا کے سامنے رکھا جائے گا۔ ساحل ریاستوں نے 29 جنوری 2025 کو باضابطہ طور پر ایکواس چھوڑ دیا تھا۔
