  • Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, 58, said security escorted him out of Pershing Square in downtown Los Angeles while he was filming a tribute for the 25th anniversary of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3.
  • He posted a video of himself rolling past the plaza's large red spheres and a nearby car wash before the footage switched to the video game, leaving the tricks to his on-screen character.
  • The game was released in North America on 30 October 2001 and sold about 7.53 million copies worldwide, and it was remade as part of the 2025 Pro Skater 3 + 4 bundle.
